Announcements: School Reports / September Opening / COVID-19 Update

Title

School Reports / September Opening / COVID-19 Update

Body

End of Year School Reports

Teachers have written end of year reports for all children, we are currently in the process of compiling these.  We are currently exploring ways in which we will send you your child's report electronically via email.

You will be given the opportunity to discuss your child's report with their class teacher if you wish, but we must take account of government guidance on the COVID-19 outbreak and the availability of staff.  It may be appropriate to delay these discussions and discuss the report at a future date, or carry out a discussion via telephone.

Please note:  Your child's report will cover the period of time up to when school closed (March 20th) due to the coronavirus pandemic.  It is not possible for reports to cover the period of partial school closures.

School Opening in September

As you will most likely be aware, the Government has stated that all pupils will be expected to return to school in September.  We have received initial guidance from the Department for Education around this and we expect to receive further information from the local authority (Birmingham City Council) and the teaching unions soon.  We will spend the coming days and weeks preparing for the return of all pupils in September.

However, school will be very different from ‘normal’ - school staff, pupils and parents will have to adhere to very different routines and rules.

The dates on which pupils will return to school have been changed in light of the current situation, as have some of our term dates and teacher training days.  Pupils will return to school on the following dates:
  -   Year 1-6 pupils:  Monday 7th September 2020
  -   New Reception pupils:  Monday 14th September 2020

More information regarding the opening of school in September will be provided as soon as possible.
